The eleventh convocation of the Faculties of Disability Management and Special Education and General & Adapted Physical Education and Yoga, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University (RKMVU), Coimbatore Campus was held at the Venkatakrishnan Indoor Stadium on 20 August 2016 at 2 p.m. Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice-Chancellor, RKMVU, delivered welcome address and released the report on the activities of UNESCO Chair.Swami Abhiramananda, Administrative Head, RKMVU, Coimbatore, delivered introductory address. Swami Sarvottamananda, Pro-Vice Chancellor, RKMVU, delivered the third lecture of Sri Avinashilingam Memorial Lecture on “Knowledge and Wisdom”. Prof. S. Parasuraman, Director/Vice Chancellor, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, who was the Guest in chief delivered the Convocation address and released the first issue of a new series of quarterly magazines in Braille and large print for students with special needs, entitled “Wonders of Touch”. Br. Paramarthachaitanya, Asst. Administrative Head, FDMSE; Dr. Asis Goswami, Dean, RKMVU-GAPEY; Dr. S. Alagesan, Professor & Head (GAPEY) were present on the dais. Dr. N. Muthaiah, Hon. Dean, FDMSE proposed the vote of thanks.
