Swami Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC)

The teacher trainees of FDMSE organize a Vivekananda study circle which is meant for organizing some cultural and spiritual events.  They celebrate festivals like Janmashtami for which children with disabilities and their parents are invited. The circle also trains interested candidates in chanting Bhagavad-Gita and organizes monthly competitions. The students who stand first will be rewarded during our annual day celebrations. Commemorating the appearance of Swami Vivekananda at Chicago Parliament of Religions on 11th September 1893, Vidyala organizes Chicago address recitation competitions annually on 11th September.  At first these competitions are organized at individual Institute level and the short listed candidates participate at Vidyalaya level. VSC organizes these competitions at FDMSE level and the winners are rewarded. Depending on the availabilities of funds VSC also offers food to the poor and needy. VSC also arranges talks by various monastic members and eminent persons for the benefit of teacher trainees and children with disabilities. The following are in brief activities of VSC.

  • Organizing festivals
  • Organizing Bhagavad-Gita chanting classes and competitions
  • Organizing Chicago address competitions at FDMSE level
