Faculty of General & Adapted Physical Education and Yoga (GAPEY), RKMVERI (Deemed University), organized Unified Play Day & Sports Competition on 24th February 2023.
A total of 192 (MPEd II – 15, MPEd I – 17, BPEd II – 45, BPEd I – 46 & BSc PHS III – 69) teacher trainees handled the training and coaching in 13 Special schools and 51 Government Elementary/Middle school at Coimbatore for practice teaching and Special Olympic Games Coaching from 6th to 23rd February 2023. A series of activities as mentioned below were trained by our students to the CwDs which were evaluated by the staff and the respective school physical education teachers.
Demonstration Activities: (these were the activities performed in a synchronized manner)
- Yoga, Free Hand Exercises, Social Group Behavior, Handkerchief Exercises, Hoops, Flag Drills & Kolam.
- The CwDs after participating in the synchronized demonstration event, they were grouped to have a hands on experience in the below mentioned stalls & participation in the sports competition which were inaugurated by the invitees.
