State Level Inter Physical Education Kabaddi & Volleyball Tournament was conducted on 16th & 17th February 2023. A total of 23 teams (11 teams for Kabaddi and 12 teams for Volleyball) participated in the tournament and showcased their talents. The teams were split into 4 pools consisting of 3 teams in a pool and matches were conducted in league fixtures. The pool toppers were progressed to Super league fixture so as to ensure their fullest participation in order to provide equal opportunity to exhibit their skills and talents.
- Day one was exclusively used for league fixtures. (16th Feb. 2023)
- Day two was exclusively used for super league fixtures. (17th Feb. 2023)
Volleyball tournament was conducted on three outdoor red soil courts, while the Kabaddi tournament was conducted indoor on two courts with interlocking foam mats.
The matches were inaugurated by the Swamijis & invited guests. The valedictory function was conducted on 17th February, 2023 evening, Swami Virahanandaji Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head, RKMVERI – Faculty of GAPEY was the Chief guest who blessed the gathering & players and distributed the Trophies, Cash Prize, and Certificates to the winners. Dr. R. Giridharan, Associate Professor & Head of the Department welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Sakthivel, Organizing Secretary (Kabaddi) delivered the Vote of Thanks, while Dr. N. Karthikeyan, Organizing Secretary (Volleyball), presented the meet report. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
