A Two Days Workshop for Special Educators on DAISY Books Reading and Creation was organised on 6th and 7th April 2017 by Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Coimbatore Campus in collaboration with Cognizant Foundation, Chennai. Swami Divyaprajanandaji Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head, FDMSE- RKMVU presided over the inaugural function on 6th April 2017 at 10.00 am and Mr. S. Shankar Subbiah Assistive Technology Consultant, Agate Infotek, Chennai was the Chief Guest of the function. The Valedictory session was held on 7th April 2017 at 3.00 pm. Mr. Prashanth Verma, Daisy Consortium of India was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory session. Totally 44 participants from various schools and colleges with special and general education back ground, parents and volunteers participated in the two days DAISY workshop.
