The Faculty of General Adapted Physical Education & Yoga (GAPEY), RKMVERI (Deemed University), Coimbatore campus observed the International Day for Persons with Disabilities (IDPD-2022) on 3rd December 2022. In this regard the faculty of GAPEY organised the Regional Para Athletic Meet – 2022 at the Vivekananda Inclusive Sports Complex in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Paralympic Sports Association and the Coimbatore District Paralympic Sports Association. A total of 94 athletes participated in the 100m, 200m, shot put, discus, and javelin events. Swami Buddhidananda, Deputy Controller of Examinations, RKMVERI – Coimbatore Campus, was the Chief Guest and flagged off the track and field events. The winners were awarded medals and certificates.
