A three-day Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) training programme on ‘Learning Disability and its Differential Diagnosis’ was organized by the division of intellectual disability, Faculty of Disability Management & Special Education (FDMSE), RKMVERI (Deemed University) from 19th to 21st October, 2022.
Inaugural function was commenced with a prayer song on 19th October, 2022 at 10.00 am. Dr. Nandita Chakrabarty, Asst. Prof., FDMSE, RKMVERI welcomed the gathering. Followed by the orientation about the programme by Dr. S. Logesh Kumar, programme coordinator, presidential address was given by Swami Nirmaleshananda, Asst. Administrative Head. Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, gave the special address. Mrs. V. Indirani, Asst. Prof. proposed the vote of thanks. Shri. Raguraman, Skilled Assistant, DDRO, Office attended the inaugural function.
Thirty participants (24 females and 6 male) from Tamil Nadu and Kerala attended the training. Twelve sessions were organized with various resource persons. In one of the session Shri. G. Vasantha Rama Kumar, District Differently Abled Welfare Officer, Coimbatore interacted with the participants.
The valedictory function was held on 21st October, 2022 at 4.00 pm. Dr. Saumya Chandra, Asst. Prof. welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report. Two of the participants shared their feedback. The presidential address was delivered by Swami Nirmaleshananda, Asst. Admin Head. Participants received their certificate of participation from Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean and Asst. Admin Head. Dr. S. Logesh Kumar, Asst. Prof. proposed vote of thanks. All the staff members attended the inaugural and valedictory function. The programme ended with national anthem.
