Day #1: Orientation and Pledge – 12.08.2026

The National Anti-Ragging Day followed by Anti-Ragging Week was observed at RKMVERI, FDMSE, Coimbatore Campus from 12.08.206 to 18.08.2026. Dr. S. Logeshkumar, In-charge, Anti-Ragging Committee, delivered a brief orientation highlighting the significance of observing this day. Ms. Malsawmkimi, a third-year student of the Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. Special Education (Intellectual Disability) programme, led the gathering in taking the Anti-Ragging Pledge. The event was attended by all student-teachers and faculty members, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a ragging-free and safe learning environment.

Day #2: Screening Documentaries – 13.08.2026

On 13 August, 2026, a series of documentaries to raise awareness among students about the serious issue of ragging were screened. These films are carefully selected to highlight the psychological and physical impact of ragging on victims, showcasing real-life stories and expert insights. All the students attentively watched the documentaries and actively engaged with the content presented.

Day #3: Students Undertaking – 14.08.2026

University Grants Commission (UGC) and other regulatory bodies, has mandated that all students submit an Anti-Ragging Undertaking as part of their admission process. With an objective of eliminating ragging from educational institutions and to create a safe, inclusive, and conducive environment for learning. Student’s Anti-Ragging Undertaking was filled by all the first-year student teachers on 14 August, 2026.

Day #4: Awareness Programme – 17.08.2026

Intermediate students organized an awareness program titled "Creating a Congenial Learning Environment by Eradicating Ragging" for new students. The session focused on educating freshers about the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of a supportive campus culture. Through presentations, role plays, and discussions, the seniors emphasized the significance of mutual respect and kindness. The initiative aimed to empower freshmen to contribute to a positive and safe learning environment, free from harassment and intimidation.

Day #5: Competitions – Essay, Poster, Slogan and Logo Designing – 18.08.2026

A series of competitions on the theme “Youth Against Ragging” was organized on 18.08.2026 to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging. Students actively participated in essay writing, poster making, slogan writing, and logo designing competitions. The activities encouraged students to express their ideas creatively and promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. The programme emphasized the message that youth have a vital role in creating a ragging-free educational community.

A total of 52 students (5 Male and 47 Female) attended the week-long event. Dr. S. Logeshkumar, Assistant Professor, Coordinated the event.
