PONGAL CELEBRATION
The Faculty of General and Adapted Physical Education Yoga organized a vibrant Pongal Celebration on 11th January 2025 at the Vivekananda Inclusive Sports Complex. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the traditional harvest festival with enthusiasm.
Event Highlights:
The celebration featured various exciting activities:
Kolam Competition – Beautiful traditional designs added color to the event.
Pongal Cooking Competition – BSc, BPEd, MPEd students and Stafmembers of GAPEY showcased their cooking skills.
Tug of War – Teams competed with energy and teamwork.
Uriyadi (Breaking the Pot) – A thrilling traditional game filled with excitement.
Music and Dance – Lively performances added to the festive atmosphere.
Awards & Appreciation:
Winners of the competitions were recognized for their efforts and awarded special gifts. The prizes were presented by Swami Buddhidhananda Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head of RKMVERI GAPEY.
A Memorable Celebration:
The Pongal festival was a grand success, promoting teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation. It created wonderful memories for all, strengthening the bond of tradition and unity within the campus.
