Dr. S. Logeshkumar, Assistant Professor and In-charge of the Anti-Ragging Cell, provided an orientation on UGC regulations regarding ragging in higher educational institutions, the operation of the Anti-Ragging Committee/cell, and the Supreme Court’s ruling on ragging on the first day. The first day event concluded with an Anti-Ragging pledge led by Ms. R.V. Vaishnavi, a second-year student of the Integrated program on 12.08.2025.

On 13 August, 2025, a series of documentaries to raise awareness among students about the serious issue of ragging were screened. These films are carefully selected to highlight the psychological and physical impact of ragging on victims, showcasing real-life stories and expert insights.

University Grants Commission (UGC) and other regulatory bodies, has mandated that all students submit an Anti-Ragging Undertaking as part of their admission process. With an objective of eliminating ragging from educational institutions and to create a safe, inclusive, and conducive environment for learning. Student’s Anti-Ragging Undertaking was filled by all the first-year student teachers on 14 August, 2025.

Intermediate students organized an awareness program titled “Creating a Congenial Learning Environment by Eradicating Ragging” for new students. The session focused on educating freshers about the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of a supportive campus culture. Through presentations, role plays, and discussions, the seniors emphasized the significance of mutual respect and kindness. The initiative aimed to empower freshmen to contribute to a positive and safe learning environment, free from harassment and intimidation on 16 August 2025.

On the last day (18 August 2025), various competitions viz., essay writing, emblem designing, poster designing and slogan writing were conducted for students to promote Anti-Ragging. A total of 31 student teachers enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing their talents and dedication to the cause.

The event was attended by all student-teachers (40 Females & 12 Males) and faculty members, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a ragging-free and safe learning environment.  Dr. S. Logeshkumar, In-charge of the Anti-Ragging Committee coordinated the events.
