Swami Vivekananda’s Historic Speech at the World Parliament of Religions at Chicago in 1893 is being celebrated as ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’. Commemorating this event, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya organized a Recitation Competition on Swami Vivekananda’s Lectures on 11 September 2025 at GKD Auditorium.
Teacher trainees from FDMSE, RKMVERI who stood first in college level Tamil – S. Mithra, B.Ed. II Yr & College level English – Vaishnavi R V, Integrated II Yr) competed with inter Vidyalaya college level. Swami Garishthanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, presided over the function and delivered a special address. Swami Jnanapurnanandaji Maharaj distributed the prizes to all the winners and participants.
Ms. Vaishnavi R V Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (ID) I Year won the first prize in college level English. The winners were awarded with cash prizes, books and mementos.
Dr. Saumya Chandra and Dr. S. Parween, Assistant Professors acted as judges for diploma level English and college level Tamil respectively.
Faculty members (14) and student teachers (55) of first year B.Ed., M.Ed., Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (ID) and research scholars attended the event.
