The 20th Convocation of the four Faculties (FDMSE, GAPEY, ARTD & DCS) of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), Coimbatore Campus, was held in a blended mode at the GKD Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, on 25th October 2025. The convocation ceremony began with a prayer song by the Vidyalaya Music Teachers, followed by the chanting of the Taittiriya Upanishad by the monks of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya.

Revered Swami Garishthananda, Administrative Head, RKMVERI, Coimbatore campus & Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, delivered the welcome and introductory address. In his speech, he said that the Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Math are providing various services for social welfare in the fields of education, medicine, social and spirituality. Revered Swami Kaleshananda, Registrar, RKMVERI (Belur), presented the university profile virtually and highlighted the major features and achievements of the university. The convocation address was delivered by Revered Swami Sarvottamananda, Vice-Chancellor, RKMVERI. In his speech, he encouraged the graduates by highlighting need for lifelong learning, scientific temperament and man making character building education.

Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, School of Rehabilitation and Sports Sciences, addressed the gathering with his special address in which he stressed the importance of training our minds to attain success in lives as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.  The Chancellor’s Address was delivered virtually by Revered Swami Suvirananda, Chancellor of RKMVERI and General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur. He urged graduates to uphold Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of service and self-development. The graduates’ pledge was administered virtually by Revered Swami Atmapriyananda, Pro-Chancellor of RKMVERI. Dr. R. Giridharan, Associate Professor and Head, GAPEY, proposed the vote of thanks.

A total of 159 degrees were conferred: 37 from the Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education, 113 from the Faculty of General and Adapted Physical Education and Yoga, 6 from the Department of Computer Science, and 3 from the Faculty of Agriculture, Rural and Tribal Development. The convocation underscored RKMVERI’s commitment to nurturing graduates who are academically equipped and socially responsible.
