A Three- Day Continuous Rehabilitation Education (CRE) Programme on “Application of Technology in Education and Training” was organized at FDMSE – RKMVERI, Coimbatore Campus from 19.09.2019 to 21.09.2019. Inaugural function of the programme was held on 19.09.2019 at 10.00 am. Dr. N.Muthaiah, Dean, FDMSE delivered the special address and Dr. Ramalatha Marimuthu, Professor, ECE Department, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore delivered the Chief Guest Address. Thirty candidates (Male – 3 & Female – 27) attended the programme.
The outcome of the programme:
Participants could understand about
- The emerging trends in assistive technology for individuals with disabilities in education, daily living and employment.
- Adaptive and assistive technological devices pertaining to visual impairment, hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities.
- The applications of recent technological devices in various walks of life of the individuals with disabilities.
- The role of technology and Universal Design for Learning in inclusive classrooms.
