An inaugural function of certificate course on pre-employment skills for persons with disabilities was held on 21st July 2016 at GKD Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Coimbatore at 11.00 am. This is a joint initiative of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education, Coimbatore and Leanord Cheshire Disability, Bangalore. Swami Abhiramananda gave benedictory address, Dr.N.Muthaiah, Hon. Dean, RKMVU-FDMSE welcome the gathering, Mrs. J. Mohanasundari , Managing Director, Sharp Electrodes Private Limited , Coimbatore inaugurated the function, Mr. G. R. Govindharajan, Managing Director, ICC group of companies, Coimbatore was the guest of honor , Mrs. Revathy Rugmini, Regional Representative, Leonard Cheshire Disability delivered a special address, Dr.Sudha. A, Asst. Professor in Special Education, RKMVU-FDMSE gave orientation about the training programme, Mr.Ravi Selvan, Chairman, Cheshire homes, Coimbatore gave a talk on employment for persons with disabilities and Br. Paramarthachaitanya, Asst. Administrative Head, RKMVU-FDMSE gave vote of thanks. Twenty seven participants and their parents, students and staffs of FDMSE & GAPEY, Children from various special education units of FDMSE, Heads of various institutions were present in the function.
