The tenth convocation of the Faculties of Disability Management and Special Education (DMSE) and General & Adapted Physical Education and Yoga (GAPEY), Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Coimbatore Campus was held at the Venkatakrishnan Indoor Stadium, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Perianaichenpalayam on 8 August 2015.
Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice-Chancellor, RKMVU, delivered Welcome Address. Swami Abhiramananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore delivered Introductory Address. Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Director, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, and delivered the second lecture of Sri Avinashilingam Memorial Lecture on “Netru, Indru Nalai” in Tamil. Dr. A.M. Moorthy, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai delivered the special address on “Emerging trends in Physical Education”. Prof. Santosh Panda, Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi graced the occasion and delivered the convocation address. Swami Hariharananda, Registrar Incharge also graced the occasion. Monastic members; Member of Vidyalaya managing committee; Heads of Vidyalaya Institutions; faculty members and students of Vivekananda University and parents participated in the function.
