Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Faculty of General and Adapted Physical Education & Yoga (GAPEY) celebrated the annual day on 02.04.2016. Padmasri P. R. Krishnakumar, chancellor, Avinashilingam University for Women, Coimbatore, was the chief guest and Sri G. Prakash Reddy, Airport Director, Coimbatore International Airport, Coimbatore was the special guest. Swami Abhiramanandaji Maharaj, Administrative Head, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University and Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya was the president of the function. Br. Paramarthachaitanya Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head – GAPEY, Dr. S. Alagesan Professor & Head – GAPEY and Dr. Ch V. S. T. Saikumar, Pricipal & Secretary, Maruthi College of Physical Education were the other dignitaries on the dais. Various prize winners in sports and games, best student were felicitated with medals and certificate.
The students actively and enthusiastically demonstrated the physical activities and cultural events like yoga, kalari, bharathiam, silabam, archery, judo, kudo, gymnastics, lezium, bhangra, trampoline, tableau and pyramid.
