Sri Ramakrishna Parahamsa’s 191st BirthDay was reverently celebrated at the Vidyalaya Temple on 19 February 2026. The programme included Arati, Vedic chanting, Bhajans, Homam, and Prasād distribution as part of the sacred observances. All the Faculties, staff members and student teachers of FDMSE participated in the special Bhajan session scheduled at 9:30 a.m., during which they sought and received the divine blessings and prasad of Sri Ramarkrishna.
In connection to this, a grand Palanquin Procession was organized at the Vidyalaya campus on 20 February 2026 with deep devotion and spiritual enthusiasm. The procession commenced at 4:30 p.m. at the Vidyalaya Temple with Arati and melodious Bhajans rendered by the revered monks and devotees of the Vidyalaya. The sacred image of Sri Ramakrishna was ceremoniously placed in the beautifully decorated palanquin and carried in procession around the campus amidst continuous chanting of devotional hymns.
All Faculty members, staff, and students reverentially received the palanquin with Poorna Kumbham, symbolizing auspicious welcome and spiritual reverence. Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, performed the Arati with profound devotion, followed by collective Bhajan and floral offerings (Pushpanjali). The entire atmosphere was filled with spiritual vibrations as devotees sang the Lord’s name and reflected upon the ideals of purity, harmony, and selfless service exemplified by Sri Ramakrishna. With love and devotion, the faculties, staff, and students actively participated in the procession, offering flowers and prayers as the palanquin moved through the campus.
