Leadership Training Camp 2024-25 – 25 – 29 September 2024

The Leadership Training Camp for 2024-25 took place from September 25 to 29 at Sami Thottam, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Campus, Coimbatore, led by Dr. R. Giridharan (Chief Patron), Sri S. Rajavarman (Director), and Dr. S. Senthil Kumaran (Executive Director), the camp aimed to develop leadership, teamwork, environmental awareness, and community involvement. A total of 109 students participated, divided into four units: Badugas, Irulas, Nagas, and Thodas, along with 15 staff members who supervised and guided various activities.

Key Highlights:

• Day 1 (September 25): Students were introduced to the camp structure, and Captains and Vice-Captains for each unit were selected. Units prepared camp huts, learned their flags and yells, and joined an orientation session.
• Day 2 (September 26): Flag Hoisting and a leadership talk delivered by Dr. R. Giridharan, followed by students engaging in map reading, emergency response training, and a community event at Baralikadu, culminating in a cultural campfire gathering.
• Day 3 (September 27): Students involved in creativity and practical skills, including activities like camp craft, sports, community singing, team games, and survival skills training. The day ended with a campfire on environmental awareness, where participants performed skits and dances addressing pollution and conservation.
• Day 4 (September 28): Participants partook in a cross-country event, along with community competitions like singing, craft displays, cooking, and a Treasure Hunt, followed by patriotic performances around the campfire. This day reinforced teamwork and problem-solving.
• Day 5 (September 29): The camp concluded with site cleanup and a feedback session, where participants shared insights on personal growth, community spirit, and leadership qualities developed over the week.
