FDMSE organized Annual Sports Day for Student Teachers on 2 April 2025
The Faculty of Disability Management and Special Education (FDMSE) celebrated its Annual Sports Day for student teachers on 2nd April 2025 with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
The event commenced with the rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Ms. M. S. Keerthana, a second-year B.Ed. (ID) student, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, FDMSE, hoisted the national flag and officially declared the sports meet open.
To foster healthy competition and team spirit, student teachers were grouped into two houses namely Sankalp and Samarpan. A series of sporting events were organized for boys and girls separately, encouraging participation and inclusivity.

The student teachers participated enthusiastically in all the events, showcasing their athletic talents and team spirit. Their energetic involvement made the day both memorable and successful. The overall championship was awarded to Team Sankalp, who demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple events. The Annual Sports Day 2025 was a vibrant celebration of unity, teamwork, and physical fitness, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.
A total of 60 student teachers (14 males and 46 females) actively participated in the sports events, under the guidance of 14 faculty members (1 male and 13 females), who played a vital role in mentoring and organizing. The event was meticulously coordinated by Dr. S. Logeshkumar, Assistant Professor, whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of all activities.
