An Awareness Program on 'Recent Modus Operandi of Cyber Crimes' was held at FDMSE on August 6, 2024. Mr. A. Anand, Sub-Inspector (Technical) at the Cybercrime Police Station in Coimbatore, and Mr. P. Gopalakrishnan, Head Constable at the same station, were the resource persons. The student teachers were given a live demonstration on how to register a complaint and track it, along with information on the helpline number, cyber safety tips, and cyber awareness.
Previously, all intermediate student teachers registered as 'Cyber Volunteers' on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. The event was presided over by Swami Buddhidanandaji Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head, RKMVERI, Coimbatore and Dr. S. Logeshkumar, Assistant Professor, coordinated the event. Overall, this program was an eye-opener for everyone. A total of 20 faculty members (4 Male, 16 Female) and 47 student teachers (13 Male and 34 Female) attended the programme.
