FDMSE in partnership with RKMVERI-Belur Math, West Bengal and Globally with ARIGATOU, International, Tokyo, Japan (Secretariat in New York, USA) organized a Week for Holistic Welfare of Children from 23 -27 November 2017 at FDMSE premises. The inaugural session was held on 23 November 2017, for which Prof. Sujatha Missal, Principal, KMCH, Coimbatore was the chief guest. Swami. Nirmaleshanandaji, Asst. Secretary, Vidyalaya presided, N. Muthaiah, Dean, FDMSE gave the special address. Several interesting and useful events like a talk on importance of health & hygiene, safety measures, video clippings, and group activities like Nature walk, nature trip, Yoga and Unified Sports, cultural activities like fancy dress performance were organized during the week. In total 142 CwDs participated in this programme. The valedictory function was held on 27 November 2017 at FDMSE. Dr. S. Alagesan, Prof. & Head, GAPEY gave the Chief Guest address. Swami Divyaprajnananda, Asst. Admn. Head, FDMSE presided, Mr. Shankar Subbaiah, Assistive Technology Consultant, Chennai, Staff members and parents attended the function. Gifts were distributed to all the participants.
