FDMSE, RKMVERI (Deemed University), Coimbatore Campus celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15 August 2023.
Ms. Afiya A., teacher trainee of B.Ed. (ID) II year welcomed the gathering. Swami Garishthananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Administrative Head, RKMVERI, Coimbatore Campus hoisted the national flag and accepted the parade of teacher trainees. The National Anthem was sung followed by the National Pledge by everyone.
Students from Special Education Unit and Therapy Centres performed various cultural events and teacher trainees of B.Ed. Special Education Programmes also participated in the cultural events. Swami Nirmaleshananda Maharaj, Assistant Administrative Head, RKMVERI, Coimbatore Campus and Dr. N. Muthaiah, Dean, School of Rehabilitation and Sports Science, RKMVERI, attended the event and distributed the sweets to students with special needs, parents and teacher trainees.
The celebration ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Nijolin S. S, teacher trainee of B.Ed. (HI) II year. All the staff/faculty members, teacher trainees, students with special needs and their parents attended the event.
Prior to this event, FDMSE teacher trainees participated in the independence day parade organized by RKMV at SRKV Maruthi College of Physical Education.
